A glass rod (height 31.5 cm) on a brass base; it has three brass arms (length 12 cm) from each of which an elder pith ball is suspended on a silk thread.
It differs from previous ones on having three balls, which allow the performance of experiments with two balls charged with opposite signs and one not charged.
