As an accessory to the Guericke pump bearing the subsequent inventory number and the same date, there is a "plate for a pneumatic machine with hermetic seal" made by the same manufacturer, on which the bell is attached by means of a threaded brass flange and a sealing gasket.
At its base the bell has an inside diameter of 17 cm and is 27 cm in height; the plate has an outside diameter of 20.5 cm; the overall height of bell and plate is approximately 50 cm.
